Practice notes

Tania is a practising barrister whose areas of practice focus on company law, financial services, securities law, and banking and finance.

She advises mainly on the negotiation and preparation of a wide range of commercial contracts as well as shareholders’ agreements. She also has experience in acquisitions and restructurings.

Her financial services practice covers the incorporation and licensing of funds in Mauritius and assisting domestic companies in respect of equity and debt listings on the Stock Exchange of Mauritius and the Development and Enterprise Market.

Tania holds a LLB in English and French Law from the University of Kent and Université Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne, and an LLM in International Financial Law from King’s College, London. She was called to the Bar of England and Wales as a non-practising barrister at the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn in 2011, and was admitted as a practising barrister to the Bar of Mauritius in 2013. She worked at a leading set of chambers in Mauritius for six years prior to joining Eversheds Sutherland (Mauritius).
