Paul is a Partner specialising in planning, infrastructure and compulsory purchase and leads the Midlands Planning Team. He has appeared as advocate at numerous high profile public inquiries, and has a particular specialism in energy, infrastructure and residential projects.

Key highlights include:

  • leading the team which recently consented the world's two largest offshore wind farms on the Dogger Bank in the North Sea on behalf of the Forewind Consortium
  • leading the team advising RWE on the Brechfa Forest West and Clocaenog Forest onshore wind farms which were first two Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects to be consented in Wales
  • advising on the onshore connection application for the Triton Knoll Offshore Wind Farm
  • advising BlackRock on the planning aspects of the financing of 17 multi-turbine sites across the UK
  • advising Statkraft on the planning support on Project Orkan
  • advising Orsted on the delivery of Race Bank and Hornsea 1 Offshore Wind Farm
