Gina is an Associate in the Inquiries & Investigations team, advising in working on high profile public inquiries.
Gina’s experience within the Inquiries & Investigations team includes working with major stakeholders on a number of major and high profile public inquiries.
A large part of Gina’s role is gathering evidence from witnesses and preparing their witness statements for the Chair, as well as carrying out document review of often very sensitive material.
As well as liaising with witnesses, she also attends the associated hearings and assists the Chair by liaising with experts to the Inquiry and in the drafting of the final findings and conclusions.
Gina also has experience in corporate criminal defence work, advising both national and international companies facing criminal proceedings, specifically advising in relation to investigations by the HSE, the
Environment Agency, the police and other regulatory bodies. Examples of the matters in which Gina has been involved include:
- being part of the team advising in the Buncefield explosion
- assisting with advice to an energy company in relation to several workplace fatalities
- advising a utilities company in relation to permit breaches
- The Mid Staffordshire NHS Foundation Trust Public Inquiry
- The Independent Inquiry into Telford Child Sexual Exploitation
- Graduate Diploma in Law, 2004-2005
- Legal Practice Course, 2005-2007
