He specialises in non-contentious construction matters and has advised a range of clients across a variety of sectors including developers, end users and operators, contractors, funders, landlords and tenants. Matthew is experienced in drafting, negotiating and reporting on most standard form contracts, bespoke construction contracts and the full suite of other construction documentation including professional appointments, novation agreements, security documentation (collateral warranties, third party rights, performance bonds, parent company guarantees, vesting agreements, reliance letters) and letters of intent.

Prior to joining the firm Matthew advised a broad range of high profile clients in the healthcare, care, leisure and restoration sectors. He also has experience in the negotiation, drafting and implementation of construction documentation for engineering projects, with particular focus on MF/1 and FIDIC standard and bespoke forms.
