Practice notes
Sarah is a partner in our litigation and dispute management group, experienced in advising developers and construction professionals on both transactional and contentious construction and engineering related matters.
Her recent experience includes a broad mix of work ranging from acting for the joint venture responsible for the redevelopment of Airport City Manchester, a £1bn development consisting of 5 million sq ft of offices hotels, advanced manufacturing, logistics facilities, hybrid and ancillary retail space; to putting in place all project documents to build a new hangar in the Philippines for a HK based jet services company; advising large UK investors on the asset purchase of a series of recently built hotels; defending a large UK engineering contractor on a significant professional indemnity claim in relation to groundworks failures; advising on risk on various trade contracts for the Battersea Park Project; and acting for a major UK contractor on its disputes under an NEC3 contract for work undertaken at Sellafield.
Sarah lectures regularly on the changing field of design responsibility and payment disputes and has written articles on these subjects. She is also a member of the Society of Construction Law and Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and TeCSA.
Sarah is ranked in Chambers and Partners 2018 as a recognised practitioner for construction work and the Legal 500 has described Sarah as a ‘go-to practitioner’ who is ‘extremely impressive’ and is ‘unflappable, calm and sensible when things get tough’.
