Christian is a Partner in the Corporate/M&A practice group in our Munich office, specializing on M&A and private equity transactions, joint ventures, co-operations and reorganizations.
He is Co-head of Eversheds Sutherland’s Aerospace, Defence & Security Sector Group and Co-head of the firm’s Corporate Reorganisations Group.
In addition to his expertise in the field of M&A transactions, he has comprehensive experience in corporate and capital market law and advises members of executive and supervisory boards on questions of corporate governance and corporate compliance and in connection with the preparation and implementation of annual general meetings of listed companies.
Before joining Eversheds Sutherland in 2012, Christian worked as a corporate/M&A lawyer for Linklaters in Munich and Düsseldorf for more than six years.
Christian regularly publishes articles in the German legal press and contributes to legal text books on company law and corporate governance topics.
Christian is recommended for Corporate Law by Best Lawyers and JUVE Handbook. In 2021, he has been awarded a “Top Lawyer for Corporate Law” by German business weekly Wirtschaftswoche.
His recent experience includes advising:
- Autoliv on the autonomous driving joint venture with Volvo Cars
- Horizon Global on the €169m acquisition of Brink Group from H2 Equity Partners and on the €167m acquisition of Westfalia-Automotive Group from DPE Deutsche Private Equity
- India’s listed IT solutions provider Larsen & Toubro Infotech (LTI) on its acquisition of German-headquartered IT consultancy firm Nielsen & Partner with operations in seven international locations for a purchase price of €28m
- Sekisui Chemical of Japan on the restructuring of its European pipeline renewal business
