Practice notes

Katie is an Associate in the Planning and Infrastructure Consenting team and is based in the Leeds office. Katie advises on all aspects of contentious and non-contentious planning and highways matters.

She has considerable experience drafting and negotiating complex section 106 obligations including in respect of contentious viability obligations, as well as negotiating highways and infrastructure agreements. She also advises on matters such as listed building enforcement action, general enforcement matters and habitats legislation.

Katie is part of our specialist common land team and advises on a variety of issues arising from development on or in the vicinity of common land and town and village greens.

She has recently been involved in a number of compulsory purchase matters including in respect of a large regeneration project and the compulsory purchase aspects of an NSIP project.

Katie also undertakes due diligence on banking and corporate transactions and regularly acts for lenders, borrowers, buyers and sellers. She provides technical advice, engages with the commercial context of the transaction and provides input into the transaction documentation, ensuring that planning matters are resolved quickly and comprehensively.
