Constanze Moorhouse is a dual qualified English and German partner in our Employment, Labor and Pensions Group and leads our International Employment Counsel Team.

Constanze regularly works in a cross-border environment advising on both English and German law. She regularly acts as project manager for multi-jurisdictional HR projects. Through a secondment to a large US owned multi-national firm she has gained in-house experience in a European role.

Recent key international projects include:

  • advising a clinical research organisation on (a) the creation of a finance shared service centre and the impact on staff across Europe, (b) the employment aspects in 39 jurisdictions of a new way of service provision to a global pharma business and (c) the implementation globally of new ways of working post-pandemic;
  • advising a global listed health and life sciences business on the introduction of restrictive covenants in the employment contracts of senior staff in 16 jurisdictions in connection with the granting of equity awards;
  • co-leading the advice to Expedia Inc. on all employment aspects in 25 jurisdictions outside the USA of the sale of its corporate travel business to American Express Global Business Travel (GBT);
  • advising a global logistics business on the integration of a business following acquisition in five jurisdictions in EMEA.

Constanze is a native German speaker, is fluent in English and Italian, and also speaks French.

Constanze is the author of the German chapter of the book "EU & International Employment Law", co-author and editor of the Bloomsbury Professional book "Employment Law in Europe". She regularly speaks at seminars and delivers client training, on German, English and international employment law topics.
