Practice notes

Jessimee is a barrister in the litigation team and handles matters relating to civil, commercial, insolvency and employment disputes before all courts of Mauritius, including the Supreme Court. She handles the preparation of cases including drafting of pleadings and conducting research.

In addition to her litigation experience, her advisory work consists mostly of employment law matters. She frequently provides employment advice, assists with occupation permits, and represents clients at disciplinary committees. She is also called upon to chair disciplinary committees.

Jessimee holds a Bachelor of Laws with Honours from the University of Mauritius and successfully completed the Vocational Examinations for Barristers in Mauritius in 2012, following which she was admitted to the Mauritian Bar in 2014.
