Claire is a principal associate in our Real Estate group.

Her experiences include:

  • Acting for a major public transport body in respect of a high value complex retail and residential scheme and redevelopment and improvements to transport infrastructure, including negotiating the development agreement, acquisition and disposal of properties, surrenders and variations of existing leases to reconfigure its assets to facilitate the re-development, grant of new leases and deeds of easements.
  • Acting for a major public transport body in respect of a multi-million development over land on which a CPO has been made in advance of the formal CPO inquiry, negotiating the agreement for sale of property to a well-known developer and the grant of a long term lease required for residential redevelopment and dealing with infrastructure protection requirements.
  • Conditional sale of part of a site to a FTSE 100 hotel chain conditional upon planning, licensing, variation of title covenants, provision of services and the construction of an access way as part of a key leisure redevelopment of a seaside town regeneration.
  • £36.5 million freehold disposal of part subject to a lease granted to a household name hotel chain.
  • £20.5 million disposal of a large multi-let office building.
  • £13.25 million investment acquisition of a hotel and retail site.
  • £15.225 million investment acquisition of a central London office block.
  • £14.75 million sale for commercial development conditional on planning and ground condition of land to a large household name supermarket chain. Also negotiated the s278/s38 Agreement.
  • £100 million share sale of a well-known late night operator to 2 Private Equity companies, dealing with all commercial property aspects, including managing the team and liaising and co-ordinating with the other advisors.
  • Acquisitions of high value portfolios of licensed properties including acquisitions from administrators.
  • Restructuring - advised on the property aspects and negotiated the SPA in respect of a pre-pack administration/debt for equity swap in respect of a major late night operator.
