Carolin Obermaier is an Associate in the Company Commercial practice group at Eversheds Sutherland in Munich.

She mainly advises international companies in the manufacturing industry as well as in the consumer goods sector.

Her area of advice covers all aspects of distribution law, in particular regarding the use and interpretation of general terms and conditions and support for clients in the entire supply chain. Furthermore, Carolin regularly advises on the commercial aspects of due diligences within the framework of M&A transactions. For this purpose, she can rely on her extensive experience which she gained working for a firm specialising in M&A transactions.

She is a member of the Munich Bar Association (Rechtsanwaltskammer München).

Carolin studied law at the University of Augsburg. Following her first state examination in 2015, she completed an LL.M. programme in international law at Indiana University in Indianapolis, IN, and has been admitted as an attorney and counselor-at-law in New York since 2017 and as a lawyer with the Munich Bar Association in Munich since 2019.

Before joining Eversheds Sutherland, Carolin worked in the Corporate M&A and Private Equity practice group of a renowned law firm in Munich.

Carolin's recent experience includes advising:

  • a medium-sized company from the energy sector on questions of contract law
  • an international conglomerate on strategically important customer framework agreements
  • a German company with international operations in the manufacturing industry in the context of negotiations with suppliers
