Practice notes

Maria Oikonomou is an Associate in the Corporate Commercial practice group in our Munich office.

She provides advice to national and international companies and corporations. She provides support in the context of corporate compliance matters, ongoing corporate advice and corporate restructuring measures. This specifically includes the removal and appointment of company bodies as well as compliance health checks.

Maria Oikonomou is a member of the German Institution of Arbitration (Deutsche Institution für Schiedsgerichtsbarkeit e.V. (DIS)). She is also a member of the Athens Bar Association and Munich Bar Association (Rechtsanwaltskammer München).

Following her training and admission to the bar in Greece, she obtained a master's degree (International Private Law and International Trade) in Leuven, Belgium, and then completed the LL.M. programme in International Commercial Arbitration Law in Stockholm, Sweden. She has worked in the area of compliance and gathered professional experience in drafting policies and reviewing compliance with provisions.
