Practice notes

Dimitrios is an Associate in our International Arbitration and Public International Law group, based in Paris.

He works in investor-state and international commercial arbitration proceedings, both ad hoc and under the rules of ICSID, ICC and LCIA. He has experience in representing both States and private entities in cases concerning the energy, banking, telecoms and construction sectors. Earlier in his career, Dimitrios trained and worked in several law firms in Paris and London, focusing on cross-border disputes and public international law.

Dimitrios has completed his LLB studies at the Democritus University of Thrace and holds an LLM in International Dispute Settlement (MIDS) from the Graduate Institute of Geneva and University of Geneva, and an LLM in European and Transnational Commercial Law & ADR from the International Hellenic University. He has also studied at the Hague Academy of International law where he attended both the private and public international law courses.

He is a qualified lawyer in Greece and also registered with the Paris bar in France. He speaks Greek, English and French.

Dimitrios est collaborateur au sein de l’équipe Arbitrage International et Droit International Public de notre bureau de Paris.

Dimitrios est spécialisé dans les arbitrages d’investissement et commerciaux, aussi bien ad hoc que sous l’égide des règlements CIRDI, CCI et LCIA. Il possède une expérience dans la représentation d'États et d'entités privées dans les secteurs de l'énergie, bancaire et financier, des télécommunications et de la construction. Avant de rejoindre Eversheds Sutherland, Dimitrios s'est formé et a travaillé dans plusieurs cabinets d'avocats à Paris et à Londres, se concentrant sur les litiges transfrontaliers et le droit international public.

Dimitrios a effectué son LLB à l'Université Democritus de Thrace et est titulaire d'un LLM en International Dispute Settlement (MIDS) de l'Institut de hautes études internationales et du développement de Genève et de l'Université de Genève et d'un LLM en droit commercial européen et ADR de l'Université hellénique internationale . Il a également étudié à l'Académie de droit international de La Haye où il a suivi des cours de droit international privé et de droit international public.

Il est avocat qualifié en Grèce et est également inscrit au Barreau de Paris. Il parle grec, anglais et français.
