Practice notes
Lilian is an Associate in the Employment, Labor and Pensions practice group in our Rotterdam office.
Lilian joined the Employment and Labor law practice group at Eversheds Sutherland as a junior associate in 2016. Before her start at Eversheds, she graduated from Erasmus University Rotterdam in 2016, where she obtained two masters degrees, in both Private/Contract Law and Business Law. Before her career at Eversheds Sutherland – and during her studies – Lilian gained working experience in the legal profession as paralegal and legal secretary at a number of different law firms.
Lilian advises and assists national and international clients on/with a wide variety of employment law matters. Her expertise includes (collective and individual) dismissal, employment conditions, sick employees, collective labour agreement (CLA) law, work council related issues and discrimination law. In addition, she has experience with drafting and advising on several types of employment (related) contracts and policies. Lilian also provides training to clients. She works closely together with Eversheds Sutherland’s pensions team.
Recent experience
• advising and providing guidance to clients with regard to the dismissal of employees in the Netherlands and the best strategy in that respect;
• advising and assisting national and international clients with respect to the changed circumstances in the workplace as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic (working from home, testing/vaccinations, etc);
• providing clients with advice around long-term sick employees;
• reviewing employment agreements, handbooks, settlement agreements, policies and other employment (related) documentation;
• providing inhouse and interactive training to the employees (management and operations) of a multinational company on harassment at work.

Lilian is also involved in the creation of the Coronavirus – COVID Global Employer Guide – the Netherlands and the Quarterly Global Employment Update (four updates per year).
