A Partner in the volume services group, specialising in residential property matters including equity release, second charges, portfolio sales and acquisitions, remortgaging, sales and purchases and solar lease of airspace.

Gemma is the senior legal adviser in the team with more than 20 years residential property experience and responsibility for ensuring the delivery of excellent client service and managing the legal team and process teams servicing legal work for financial institutions, public sector clients and utility companies.

Gemma provides support for the Eversheds central legal team of paralegals which provides a flexible resource for Eversheds' legal teams nationally.

Gemma's role also includes responsibility for risk, supervision, quality and training within the department.

Experienced in devising legal process solutions transforming traditional legal processes innovatively to be more efficient, more cost effective and faster and implementing the processes within legal teams.

Gemma leads on many volume projects. Projects Gemma has been involved in include:

  • the review of 90,000 property interests and voluntary registration
  • due diligence and property transfer for mortgage portfolio sales
  • the novation of a large number commercial contracts
