Practice notes

Chris is a partner in our construction and engineering group advising on the procurement of major infrastructure projects.

He advises on procurement strategies, Engineering, Construction and Procurement (EPC) contracts, framework agreements, alliancing and partnering contracts, PPP contracts and O&M agreements. He is experienced in the full range of standard form construction and engineering contracts including FIDIC, NEC3, MF/1, LOGIC, JCT and ICC(ICE).

His current projects include: numerous long term frameworks and bespoke joint delivery alliancing agreements for the maintenance, upgrade and extension of the UK rail network; advising a developer on the construction of a 200km HVDC onshore and subsea electricity cable and convertor stations; advising water utilities on the procurement of partner contractors to deliver their regulated 5 year “Asset Management Plans” (AMP) capital investment programmes.

Chris is described in Legal 500 as bringing ‘an energetic and practical approach’.
