Thomas is a legal manager in our financial services group, having qualified as a solicitor in June 2021.
Thomas works on the International Funds Net (FundsNet) and International Regulatory Net (RegNet) services, which provide clients with solutions for global fund distribution and regulatory projects.
FundsNet provides a coordinated service that enables clients to understand the key issues in each country where their funds are sold and to comply with the relevant regulatory obligations. This service also coordinates the review of financial promotions and arrangements with service providers (such as distributors and paying agents). Our RegNet service provides a clear and managed process for coordinating regulatory advice and filings across multiple jurisdictions to ensure regulatory compliance.
Thomas has day-to-day experience in project management. He is well versed in the legal, operational and regulatory aspects of global fund registrations and maintenance as well as coordinating regulatory advice and filings across multiple jurisdictions to ensure regulatory compliance. Previous projects have included cross-border investment fund launches and mergers as part of clients’ Brexit planning.
Thomas read Languages for International Communication at the Universita’ degli studi di Catania (Italy) and subsequently completed the Graduate Diploma in Law at Birmingham City University and the Legal Practice Course and Master of Science in Law, Business and Management at the University of Law. Prior to joining Eversheds Sutherland, Thomas worked as a paralegal for a private practice developing his drafting and writing skills. He has also worked as a freelance interpreter where he developed his oral communication skills.
Thomas has written articles on ESG and cross border marketing and distribution in the EU and UK for publication.
