Wesley is a partner in our Litigation Department specialising in international commercial arbitration, investment arbitration and public international law.

His experience includes advising and representing States, State-entities and private multinational companies in proceedings before the Iran-US Claims Tribunal, as well as before numerous institutional and ad hoc arbitral tribunals (including under ICC, SIAC, PCA, LCIA and UNCITRAL Rules), primarily in the energy and telecommunications sectors. He has also been involved in several commercial mediations under the ICC Rules.

Wesley’s regional focus is on Africa and the Middle East. He has recently acted for Iran in a USD 600m telecommunications dispute brought pursuant to a bilateral investment treaty that was successfully defended by the respondent State. Wesley is also currently engaged in several commercial arbitrations including acting for a major South African telecommunications operator, and two North African investment funds, all of which are administered by the ICC in Paris.

Wesley has also developed a non-contentious expertise on Iranian matters these recent years, and has been advising numerous large multinational companies in relation to sanctions, investment protection and doing business in Iran generally.

Wesley lectures on OHADA arbitration and disputes in Africa at the University of Paris 2 Panthéon Assas.

Wesley holds law degrees in international law from the Universities of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne and Paris Ouest Nanterre and is fluent in English and French. He is admitted to practice law in France.


Wesley est spécialisé en arbitrage commercial, en arbitrage Etats-Investisseurs et en droit international public. Avant de rejoindre Eversheds en 2010, Wesley a travaillé pendant deux ans au sein du département arbitrage d'un autre cabinet international.

Wesley a une expertise particulière dans les arbitrages Etats-Investisseurs et a récemment représenté un Etat du Moyen-Orient dans un litige intervenant dans le cadre d'un traité bilatéral d'investissement. Il est aussi actif dans plusieurs autres arbitrages commerciaux  administrés par la Chambre de Commerce Internationale.

Wesley est inscrit au barreau de Paris. Il est titulaire de deux Masters en droit du commerce international et en droit international public des Universités Paris X - Nanterre et Paris I - Sorbonne.
