Nadeen is an associate in our litigation and dispute management team, based in Amman. She has worked on several arbitration cases, predominately governed by Iraqi laws and regulations relating to the oil and gas sector. A number of the disputes Nadeen has advised on were against state owned entities which are governed by complex laws and procedures. She also advises on corporate, banking and commercial legal matters.
Before joining Eversheds Sutherland, Nadeen was a Trainee at Nareeman Al Rousan Law Firm.
A selection of Nadeen’s experience includes advising:
- a European Contractor in a dispute arising out of a high-value project in Iraq, with claims exceeding US$100m against a state owned company
- a global oil and gas company in a dispute against a contractor relating to drilling services
- a number of foreign clients operating in Iraq on labour related legislation in Iraq and successfully representing clients in labour related disputes
- various foreign entities (contractors, high level service providers and suppliers) in Iraq on data, IP and trademark protection in Iraq
- on the enforcement of foreign judgements and arbitration awards in Iraq, in addition to providing alternative solutions to difficulties of enforcing the aforementioned in Iraq
- on real-estate acquisition and development projects in Iraq
