Manuela Rauch is a Partner in the International Labour Law practice group at Eversheds Sutherland in Munich and is a specialist lawyer for labour law since 2011. Manuela advises and represents national and international companies in all areas of individual and collective labour law both in and out of court.

Manuela has specialised in providing labour law advice on transactions, including cross-border projects, as well as reorganisations and restructuring measures. Moreover, she regularly provides German labour law advice in cross-border transactions. She also focuses on advice regarding secondments.

Together with her international colleagues, she manages the Eversheds Sutherland Global Mobility Legal Blog and she is an author for Hamburger Fern-Hochschule (HFH) and a member of the German-American Lawyer's Association e.V. (Deutsch-Amerikanische Juristen-Vereinigung e.V., DAJV).

Manuela's recent experience includes:

  • Broad experience in the implementation of transactions in respect of labour law, including due diligence processes and negotiation of purchase agreements
  • Advising various companies with regard to international employee assignments including the application of residence permits, contractual arrangements and the introduction of company guidelines
  • Representation of a packaging group in the acquisition of a competitor with the subsequent integration and harmonisation of employment conditions as well as restructuring measures including workforce reduction and site closure across office locations
  • Ongoing labour and employment law advice to a globally acting online mail order service
  • Comprehensive labour law advice to UK and US clients as regards the entry into the German market, in particular, in the retail sector
