Practice notes
Anthony is a partner in our Employment Group and leads the employment team in our Cardiff office as well as being a member of the senior management team for our education sector clients. He has considerable experience of employment tribunal litigation and has a reputation in the marketplace for his ability to provide commercial and “solution focussed” advice to clients on a wide range of complex contentious issues and national and international projects.
Anthony has provided advice to clients involved in several high profile tribunal cases over the last 25 years, often conducting the advocacy himself. He continues to advise clients on issues such as whistleblowing, executive terminations and High Court actions as well as guiding clients on how to address disciplinary issues within a regulated environment.
Anthony qualified in 1988 and has been an employment lawyer for most of his career. In addition to his contentious practice, Anthony also gives advice in relation to non-contentious matters such as the implications of the TUPE regulations in many different change situations, issues relating to proposals to change terms and conditions of employment and large scale redundancy exercises.
Anthony is identified as a leading Band 1 lawyer in both the Chambers legal directory and Legal 500 where he is also the only employment lawyer based in Wales to achieve Hall of Fame status.
