Practice notes

Makéda is an Associate within Eversheds Sutherland’s Company Funds Team. Prior to joining Eversheds Sutherland, she was a trainee at the European Investment Fund (EIF) within the Legal Transactions- Equity Division in which she participated in several international transactions.

Being an Associate within Eversheds Sutherland’s Company Funds Team, a large part of Makéda's role is establishing funds, investment vehicles and asset management entities for national and international clients.

In her spare time, she enjoys travel, writing, hiking and doing yoga. She is passionate about diversity, inclusion and the questions of Human Rights in Africa, Latin America and Europe. She completed her LL.M with her thesis topic comparing European, Latin American and African legal system.

Makéda has participated on a number of transactions for both private and public sector clients, including:

  • assisting the Fund lawyers in drafting/reviewing fund documentation (LPA, Side letters, Legal and Tax opinion, Subscription agreement)
  • conducted research on SFDR/ESG for the European Investment Fund (EIF)
  • conducted research on the market trends to improve legal documentation

Qualifications and education

  • Master degree in Law, France, 2020-2022
  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, France, 2016-2020
