Practice notes
Sarah is a Senior Associate in our Human Resources Practice Group. She qualified in 2007 and specialises in both contentious and non-contentious employment law and acts for a wide range of clients, both national and international.
Sarah has extensive experience of handling tribunal claims, including fully preparing a case for hearing, and undertaking the advocacy at any hearing. She has acted for clients in relation to a variety of discrimination claims, including age, sex, race, pregnancy/maternity and disability discrimination, as well as claims concerning breach of contract, TUPE, agency worker rights and whistleblowing, plus unfair dismissal claims relating to redundancy, performance, capability (ill health) and conduct dismissals. Sarah has also successfully represented clients in Judicial Mediation, helping them to resolve litigious disputes.
In terms of non-contentious areas of work, Sarah is a “go to” person when it comes to advising on apprenticeship related matters, the levy and apprenticeship funding. Sarah also regularly advises clients on drafting contracts and policies, business reorganisations/redundancy programmes, severances and settlement agreements. In addition, Sarah advises organisations on all aspects of employment law from maternity and family friendly matters, to disciplinary and grievance procedures, performance management, sickness and absence management, working time, discrimination, TUPE, changing terms and conditions and contractual status.
Sarah is a member of the Law Society and the Employment Lawyers Association.
