Adam is a construction and engineering Senior Associate with extensive experience of working in the UK as well as in the Middle East.
Adam is a Senior Associate in our Construction and Engineering team in Manchester. He specialises in non-contentious construction and engineering law.
Adam has experience acting for a broad range of clients including developers, financial institutions, contractors, sub-contractors and professional consultants. He is experienced in the full range of standard construction and engineering contracts including JCT, NEC, ICC, MF/1 and FIDIC as well as bespoke construction contracts and associated security and appointment documentation. He has experience of EPC, EPCM contracts, alliancing, partnering and construction management.
Adam’s recent experience includes:
- advising a large UK housebuilder on the drafting of a new amended NEC4 engineering and construction contract (ECC) in relation to the development of a large housing development in the North West;
- acting for an employer developing a number of large datacentres in Saudi Arabia and Qatar, advising on procurement options, drafting an amended FIDIC yellow book, appointments and facilities management agreements;
- advising a developer on all legal aspects relating to the design and construction of a series of luxury resort facilities on the Saudi Arabia mainland and in the Red Sea, including legal aspects relating to procurement strategy, contract structuring, tendering, template documentation, project management, contract administration, contract negotiations and regulatory matters;
- drafting a bespoke framework agreement and call-off contracts for a large developer for its engineering and construction projects;
- advising a developer on 8 concurrent large residential developments including the building contracts, letters of intent and professional appointments and advising in relation to the financing of the developments; and
- acting on behalf of a large developer on the disposal of 5 large industrial estates including replying to enquiries, inputting into the SPA, assignment of the existing construction documents and procuring new construction security in favour of the purchaser and project managing the construction aspects of the sale.
