Martyn J Robinson

Senior Associate

Martyn is a senior associate in our Corporate Education team, he is experienced in charity law, ranked as a Rising Star in the Legal 500.

Martyn provides advice to:

  • charities, social enterprises and other not-for-profit organisations;
  • schools, academies, further education institutions and universities; and
  • corporate foundations and commercial collaborators with the charity and education sectors.

Martyn’s work includes advising on charity formations, incorporations and restructures, governance reviews and trading issues. He also advises on trustees’ duties, decision-making and dealing with the Charity Commission in relation to governance and property issues.
Martyn is a member of the Charity Law Association.

Recent work for Martyn has included:

  • advising a substantial healthcare charity on governance and trading issues;
  • advising a large online retailer regarding various commercial participation arrangements with charities;
  •  applying to the Charity Commission and securing a scheme to merge two trusts.

Martyn delivers regular webinars for the firm, and has spoken on charity law issues at events for the Association of Colleges and the Sixth Form Colleges Association
