Practice notes

Dan Roskis is a Partner based in our Paris office where he heads the Competition Law practice and our Company Commercial group. He specialises in French and European competition and distribution law.

He advises major public and private companies, both French and international, on the definition and implementation of their commercial and pricing policies (anticompetitive or restrictive trade practices and abuse of dominant position). Dan has also developed significant expertise in merger control, notably as regards the filings of acquisitions and JVs to the competent national or EU competition authorities His activities also include litigation before national and EU competition courts and authorities, as well as advice on State aid.

His recent experience includes representing:

  • global clients for the clearance of transactions by the competent competition authorities (FCA; Commission) in the food sector, in the security sector, in the insurance/finance sector, in the automotive and in the waste and recycling sector;
  • a group active in the aeronautical sector on merger control and gun jumping aspects in the course of for the sale of one of its subsidiarity
  • companies active in the retail sector for the setting up of their selective or exclusive distribution network, with a strong focus on competition law issues raised by Internet sales
  • one of the main global luxury group on its worldwide compliance program (competition law; anti-bribery)
  • one of the main US manufacturers of outdoor clothing on the organisation and management of pan-European distribution network, including advice on franchise contract, wholesale distribution contracts, commercial agency and general terms and conditions of sale.
  • an international investment bank on its investment transactions in relation to the expected outcome of EU proceedings with regard to projects in the banking, postal, and audio-visual sectors.

Commercial contracts, our experience



Dan Roskis est avocat associé au sein du département Commercial basé dans notre bureau parisien. Bilingue anglais/français, il est spécialisé en droit communautaire et français de la concurrence, notamment en matière de contrôle des concentrations, de pratiques anti-concurrentielles et d’aides d’Etat. Membre du Barreau de Paris et Docteur en droit, il est également titulaire d'un DEA en Droit des Affaires Français et Européen. Il a passé un an en détachement au sein du département juridique de EDF.
