Clare is a partner in our London real estate team with over 23 years’ experience. Over the years she has developed a wide-ranging experience in complex commercial real estate work including forward funding, forward purchase, build to rent developments, sale and leaseback transactions, portfolio sales and acquisitions and high profile lettings for institutional investors and other private sector clients.

Clare's recent experience includes:

  • advising a strategic landowner on a three year framework agreement with a US private equity firm to build 700 new suburban homes for rent and the development forward funding of the first project under that framework to deliver 149 homes in Houlton, Rugby.
  • acting for an institutional investor on the sale of a highly sought-after five building life science park in Cambridge, a simultaneous tenant surrender and sale of part of a Staples Corner business park for development by a well-known data centre provider and on all legal aspects of the acquisition, refurbishment pre-let and sale of a number of high profile City of London assets.
  • for a major investor advising on the forward funding of two build to rent apartment developments in the South East and the acquisition by forward purchase of various student accommodation and office developments within major cities across the UK.
  • project managing a cross office team for a key client acquiring a multi-million pound portfolio comprising 13 distribution warehouse parks and industrial estates.
