Practice notes
Nick joined Eversheds in 1992, qualifying as a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives in 1995, and as a solicitor in 1997. He became a partner in 2004 and head of our secured recoveries group in 2006 and Head of Litigation Support in 2017.
Nick is Co-Head of our Propel Litigation Technology and Legal Project Management Team, with a particular focus on eDiscovery. In early 2017, Nick worked with colleagues to set up Eversheds Sutherland's in house eDiscovery platform, ES Locate, and recruited a team to deliver eDiscovery services to colleagues and clients alike. Nick was awarded a certification (CEDS) by the Association of Certified E-Discovery Specialists in 2020.
Nick is also a Partner in the firm's Financial Disputes and Investigations product group, leading a team of 45 lawyers and support staff, dealing with banking related litigation, the most complex mortgage related disputes (including fraud, forgery and undue influence claims), as well as negligence claims against professionals involved in the mortgage process, such as solicitors, valuers and brokers. This team also deals with subrogated insurance recovery claims on behalf of household name insurers, including impact, escape of water, fire flood and subsidence.
