Gemma is a Principal Associate in our Human Resources practice group. Gemma advises on all aspects of both contentious and non-contentious UK and international employment law. Gemma leads on cross-border international employment projects for clients including senior terminations and international restructures. Gemma also specialises in advising on non-contentious and outsourcing arrangements both domestic and international, including the application of TUPE and/or the ARD.
Her recent experience includes advising:
- a multinational client on the post-merger harmonisation of terms and conditions of employment for employees in 67 countries, including changes to compensation and reward schemes and a restructure of roles and grades, and support in relation to consultation with EWCs and employee forums;
- a large US corporate on the employment aspects of a cross border merger including co-ordinating international advice in 9 jurisdictions;
- a consumer sector client, based in France, on the employment issues relating to the share purchase of a UK company including drafting and negotiating new employment documentation and employment-related provisions in the sale documentation;
- the project management of the appointment of numerous employees and consultants for one client in over 25 jurisdictions including providing advice on the terms of their engagement.
