Practice notes

Stefanie is a Partner in the financial services department. She practices in a variety of areas of the group, with an emphasis on unauthorised funds, derivatives, advising public and private sector pension schemes and providing general regulatory advice.

Stefanie advises on investment management agreements, custody agreements and related documentation and negotiates these on behalf of investment managers, pension schemes, custodians and other relevant parties. Stefanie also regularly advises fund houses and distributors on distribution and platform agreements.

Stefanie regularly conducts due diligence on a range of funds, including UCITS, hedge funds and private equity funds and negotiates side letters in respect of such investments.

Stefanie also drafts and negotiates derivatives contracts (including ISDA documentation), clearing documentation, repurchase agreements, stocklending agreements, collateral and security agreements, and other trading documentation for pension schemes, authorised funds, corporate entities and financial institutions.

She provides general regulatory advice, including on the implementation of the Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive (AIFMD), the European Markets and Infrastructure Directive (EMIR) and the recast Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (MiFID 2).

Stefanie recently completed a nine month secondment with an asset manager.
