Clare is a legal director in our real estate team. She has a wide-ranging experience in complex commercial real estate work including forward funding, forward purchase, build to rent developments, sale and leaseback transactions, portfolio sales and acquisitions and high profile lettings for institutional investors and other private sector clients
Clare's recent experience includes advising Legal and General on the forward funding of a build to rent development in the South East, the sale of newly refurbished 99 Gresham Street, London for £135 million, the acquisition of five newly constructed student accommodation blocks and academic facility at Exeter University for £76 million, the forward purchases of an office development in Blackburn and various University Campus buildings with a combined value of over £100 million and the £150 million sale and leaseback of a portfolio of retail stores.
For an overseas investor, Clare has worked project managing a due diligence team to deliver a number of high profile acquisitions including Bank of America's headquarters building, 5 Canada Square, Canary Wharf (£383 million), Slaughter and May's headquarters, Bunhill Row, EC1 (£185 million) and multi let offices 60 Threadneedle Street EC2 (£186 million).
