Practice notes

Malte Scheel is an Associate in the Commercial and IP practice group at Eversheds Sutherland in Munich. In addition, he is a member of the Health & Life Sciences sector group.

His field of activity includes the negotiation, protection and enforcement of IP rights of his clients from various industries as well as the provision of advice to clients from the life sciences industry (pharma, medicinal products, cosmetics, food, chemicals).

As a member of our Health & Life Sciences sector group, Malte advises companies from the life sciences industry in various areas, including contractual as well as regulatory issues, clinical and other trials as well as questions related to healthcare compliance. Furthermore, he also advises his clients in connection with the manufacturing and distribution of products in the area of life sciences. Another focus in this area is the provision of advice on technology transfer and convergence issues, such as with regard to healthcare apps.

Malte studied law with a focus on intellectual property at the University of Freiburg. He completed his legal traineeship at the Hanseatic Higher Regional Court in Hamburg with stages in Hamburg and Munich. During his legal traineeship, he gained professional experience working, inter alia, for two major international law firms in the areas of litigation and M&A as well as for the IP and competition law senate of the Hanseatic Higher Regional Court in Hamburg.

Prior to joining Eversheds Sutherland, Malte worked as an Associate for a renowned law firm in the area of private equity/M&A.
