Practice notes

Simone Kristin Schmalhofer is a Senior Associate in the Tax practice group at Eversheds Sutherland in Dusseldorf.

She works in the area of national and international corporate tax law and mainly advises German and international clients on M&A transactions.

Simone Kristin Schmalhofer is co-author of the "Handbuch Immobilien-Transaktionen", published by Wolfram H. Krüger, Mario Pofahl and Wulf Kring.

Simone is a member of the International Fiscal Association.

Simone studied commercial and tax law at the University of Mannheim and Mannheim Business School. She successfully passed her tax advisor examination in 2018.

Prior to joining Eversheds Sutherland, Simone spent several years working for a "Big 4" auditing company as well as for a renowned law firm in Frankfurt and, most recently, in the tax department of a German family business, always in the area of M&A/tax law.
