Practice notes

Sven Schweneke is a Partner in the Corporate / M&A practice group in our Munich office and heads the German Private Equity team.

Sven has more than 20 years of experience as an M&A lawyer, in particular in the area of cross-border acquisitions and sales of companies, the establishment and structuring of Joint Ventures as well as the restructuring of companies. Sven is in particular specialised in national and international private equity transactions (LBOs, MBOs and minority investments).

His clients include private equity investors and their portfolio companies as well as industrial companies.

Before joining Eversheds Sutherland, Sven worked for Weil, Gotshal & Manges in Frankfurt and for Dechert in Munich.

In 2021, Sven has been awarded a “Top Lawyer for M&A” by German business weekly Wirtschaftswoche. He is regularly recommended by Chambers Europe, Legal 500 Deutschland, Best Lawyers, Kanzleimonitor and Juve for M&A and Corporate work. According to Legal 500 2019, clients recommend Sven as being 'most pragmatic, very result oriented'.
