Rob is a Principal Associate in our employment team. He handles all aspects of contentious and non-contentious employment law and is an experienced advocate and mediator in the Employment Tribunal. During his time with the firm, he has been involved in defending high value and complex proceedings, including discrimination, whistle-blowing and protective award claims, as well as unfair and wrongful dismissal claims.

He is a member of our International Counsel team and regularly works with global businesses on multi-jurisdictional matters. Rob qualified in 2002 and joined the firm having previously worked in commercial and corporate practice as well as employment.

Rob's experience includes: advising a global energy business on a worldwide restructure and redundancy program; judicial mediation to resolve a high value and sensitive disability discrimination claim; successfully defending a breach of contract claim from a senior employee of a UK client who was working in Iraq; advising on the impact of the Working Time Regulations for off-shore workers.

Rob is also involved in designing and delivering training on behalf of the team and is a regular speaker at events such as public training courses and breakfast briefings. In addition, he is the Pro Bono Manager for the Leeds office and is involved in various pro bono initiatives on both a local and national level.
