Joanna is a Legal Director in our Real Estate practice group. Joanna specialises in acting for developers in respect of development and regeneration projects and investors in respect of  forward funding developments, acquisitions, disposals and lettings of schemes including shopping centres, industrial estates/offices and mixed use schemes.

Her recent experience includes:

  • acting for a developer on the forward funding and development of three hotels as part of the £180 million hotel district at Manchester Airport
  • Acting for a developer on the forward funding of a £98.7 million PRS development scheme in Salford Quays with one of the UK’s largest professional landlords. The scheme is one of the largest PRS schemes outside of London and has delivered over 600 new private rented homes, along with 17,000 sq. ft of commercial and amenity space. We advised on site assembly, the forward funding and construction.
  • acting for a JV between a Council and a private investor, as developer in respect of the £20 million forward funding and development of an office scheme in Sunderland
  • acting for a funder on the £12 million forward funding of a mixed use (hotel/pub/retail) scheme in St Albans
  • leading the team acting for an investor on several acquisitions of three investments properties (total value £75 million)
  • leading the team acting for an investor on the portfolio sale of three industrial estates (total value £37 million)
