Andrew is an Senior Associate in the Banking & Finance and Real Estate practice groups at Eversheds Sutherland.
He focuses on the area of commercial tenancy law where he provides advice to logistics companies, retailers and real estate companies. This includes advice on complex (build-to-suit) lease agreements, asset management as well as the representation of clients in and out of court.
Andrew's activities furthermore focus on real estate, finance and banking law, which includes in particular providing legal advice in the context of national and international real estate transactions and project developments. Andrew comprehensively advises both banks and borrowers regarding financing transactions, in particular within the framework of real estate, acquisition, project and corporate financing, as well as national and international investment companies in all areas of real estate law.
Prior to joining Eversheds Sutherland in April 2018, Andrew worked for an interdisciplinary law firm in Munich in the area of real estate and banking law.
Andrew studied law at the University of Regensburg and completed his professional training at Nuremberg Higher Regional Court and at an internationally operating law firm in Munich. Subsequently, he worked for the institute for public law, real estate law, infrastructure law and information law of Prof. Dr. Jürgen Kühling, LL.M. (University of Regensburg) while writing his doctoral thesis.
Andrew's recent experience includes advising:
- Various international logistic companies and retailers on tenancy law matters
- BayernLB on the financing of the acquisition of commercial properties in the Netherlands and the UK
- Savills Investment Management on the financing of the acquisition of office and logistics properties in Germany and the Netherlands
- Invesco Real Estate on the financing of a number of commercial properties in Germany
