Theresa-Marie is a Partner in the Eversheds Sutherland corporate practice. Theresa-Marie has over 10 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions, restructurings, joint ventures and private equity acting primarily for large corporates and multi-nationals.

Recent transaction highlights include:

  • Acting for Swedish listed ASSA ABLOY, on each of its recent domestic strategic acquisitions, including the acquisitions of Trojan Holdings, TRAKA plc and Securistyle
  • Acting for the shareholders of Grass Roots Holdings Limited on its sale to NASDAQ-listed Blackhawk Network Holdings, Inc.,
  • Acting for Experian on the sale of its international retail intelligence business, FootFall to Tyco
  • Acting for Interserve on its acquisition of the Employment & Skills Group from Ares Capital
  • Acting for Sims Metal Management, the world's leading metals and electronics recycler on the acquisition of S3 Interactive

Theresa-Marie also focuses on corporate transactions in the real estate sector, regularly working as part of the Eversheds Sutherland indirect real estate multi-disciplinary team to deliver the corporate aspects of these projects. Recent transaction highlights in the real estate sector include:

  • Acting for Land Securities on the corporate acquisition of a portfolio of three outlet centres from Hermes Investment Management for £332.5 million
  • Acting for Legal & General on its £162 million joint venture with Scarborough Group International involving the acquisition of a 50% stake in Thorpe Park Leeds, a 200 acre mixed use business development site in East Leeds.
  • Acting for Westgate Oxford Alliance on the corporate aspects of its acquisition of Castle Quarter, Oxford
  • Acting for the shareholders on the sale of Catesby Property Group a well-established planning-led, strategic land company, to Urban&Civic plc.
