Daniel is an Associate in the Employment, Labor and Pensions Practice Group, specialising in employment law. Since qualifying in 2020, he has advised local, national and international clients across a number of sectors, on a broad range of day to day employment matters, including both contentious and non-contentious aspects of employment law.

Daniel has experience with reviewing and drafting executive contracts of employment; settlement agreements; staff policies/handbooks; and assisting with employment law aspects of large corporate transactions. He also regularly manages and defends numerous Employment Tribunal claims ranging from unfair dismissal, unlawful deductions from wages, and discrimination. Daniel also has experience with assisting with, co-ordinating and managing, multi-jurisdictional projects, providing strategic, practical advice to global clients on a variety of areas, such as global restructures and business re-organisations.

Daniel’s recent experience includes:

  • managing and co-ordinating the preparation and quarterly review of HR compliance checklists across multiple jurisdictions to ensure the mandatory minimum HR compliance requirements were adhered to, as well as identifying good HR practices for a business operating across different jurisdictions;
  • advising on a large-scale collective consultation process to change the terms and conditions of a bonus scheme entitlement for thousands of employees within the financial services sector;
  • defending Employment Tribunal proceedings for a large Retail client, in relation to a number of high value and complex Employment Tribunal claims arising out of a large equal claim from hundreds of employees; and
  • assisting with the preparation and delivery of national and multi-jurisdictional training sessions on topics including performance management, advanced investigation skills, TUPE, as well as jurisdiction-specific employment law introductions
