Practice notes

Hazel is a consultant in the real estate group specialising in clean energy.

She advises on all aspects of Property Law and prior to joining Eversheds she spent time working in private practice acting for both Developer and Landowner clients and also a period of time working in house with a large utility company. She has good experience of supporting teams who are developing and constructing large and small scale energy projects. In addition she has been involved on numerous acquisitions and disposals of projects and has been actively involved in advising on the property aspects of funding such deals.

Over recent years she has also assisted on the submission of bids for areas being tendered by the Crown Estate and has negotiated the final suites of property agreements arising from successful bids. This included Round 3, Scottish Territorial Waters and the Pentland Firth. Hazel also has experience in the property aspects of transmission and distribution assets including transferring offshore transmission assets to Offshore Transmission Operators.

Hazel is known for the practical and pragmatic approach she takes to the multitude of challenges which inevitably arise in projects and prides herself in identifying early in the transaction the key issues that really matter to a client in the wider strategic context.
