Kenny is a Senior Associate in our Asia Technology and FinTech Team, currently based in Hong Kong.
He regularly advises both users and suppliers of IT and payments services in all aspects of the procurement process. Kenny also has experience in negotiating complex technology and commercial outsourcing transactions (including aviation technology, BPO, HRO). He advises clients in a wide range of sectors, including aviation, financial services, payments, decentralised technology, consumer retail and sports. An integral part of his daily job involves looking a deep understanding of issues and drivers from a commercial and operational perspective, and seeking innovative solutions to resolve hurdles or deadlock situations in negotiations.
In particular, he has extensive experience in helping clients navigate around the complex regulatory and operational hurdles that multinationals face when expanding their technology and payments service offerings into Mainland China. He regularly advises technology and payments service providers on how to structure a proper service model in Mainland China to mitigate regulatory, commercial and operational risks.
Kenny is qualified as a lawyer in Hong Kong and New York, USA. Prior to joining Eversheds Sutherland, Kenny worked at another international law firm in Hong Kong as a trainee and an associate in the technology and FinTech team.

- Advising a multinational conglomerate in the procurement of “infrastructure-as-a-service” services from a major technology vendor.
- Advising multiple payment services providers in regulatory analysis of its proposed virtual charge card offering and collaboration with international card schemes.
- Advising a Hong Kong-based conglomerate in a major Hong Kong and PRC data compliance project.
- Advising multiple multinational clients in its PRC data compliance projects.
