Practice notes

Margrit is an English-qualified solicitor and an Associate in our Commercial Dispute Resolution team, based in London.

Margrit acts for clients in both complex English court litigation and international arbitration proceedings, spanning a range of sectors including the energy, construction, retail, pharmaceutical and telecoms sectors.

Her recent arbitration experience includes acting for clients in international commercial arbitrations under the ICC, LCIA, LCIA-DIFC and the Swiss Rules, and in ad hoc proceedings. Margrit also has experience in investment arbitration and has advised on public international law issues.

Margrit’s litigation experience includes advising two English companies in High Court litigation proceedings in a multi-million dollar international sale of goods claim. She is also acting for two government-owned entities in relation to an appeal of an LCIA arbitral award to the High Court.

During her training contract, Margrit completed a secondment with the firm’s Public International Law and International Arbitration team in Paris.

Margrit is an active member of the firm’s Latin America Group, and has contributed to the firm’s “Legal Guide to Doing Business in Latin America”.

Margrit holds a BA degree in Politics and Spanish, a Master’s degree in International Relation (both from the University of Exeter), and an LLB from the College of Law (now the University of Law). She also completed a short course in International Commercial Litigation and Arbitration at the London School of Economics.
