Philipp Turnwald is a Partner in the Real Estate Practice Group in Germany. He and his team advise leading international corporates on their real estate portfolio (Corporate Real Estate), logistic companies on the acquisition and development of logistic properties and international retailers on their expansion and improvement of existing commercial leases, in particular high street leases and shopping centre leases.

He is an experienced real estate lawyer. He and his team advise on the full range of real estate matters, including commercial leases, asset management, project development and real estate transactions (asset deal and share deal). He advises domestic and foreign fund companies on all asset management matters for their German properties. Philipp has been working with major German law firms since 2004 and joined Eversheds-Sutherland in 2012.

Philipp Turnwald has been recognized as a leading lawyer in Real Estate by The Legal 500 in Germany.

His recent experience includes:

  • Various international retailers on their entry into the German market and various retail leases
  • A real estate investor on restructuring of an industrial park in Munich to a residential area
  • A global logistics company on build-to-suit solutions in various deals
  • Global clients on various build-to-suit office solutions in Germany, including infrastructure and smart building
  • An American-German joint venture on the acquisition of a EUR 300m shopping-centre portfolio in Germany
