Practice notes
Elisa is an Associate (CILEX) in our Corporate Claims team in Ipswich. She is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives and has 15 years' litigation experience.
Prior to joining Eversheds-Sutherland, Elisa acted for international insurers, and large corporates in defence of personal injury claims. She specialised in defending industrial disease claims including NIHL, HAVS, upper limb injuries, dermatitis and asbestos related diseases. Elisa also has experience in handling RTA and other EL/PL claims.
Elisa has achieved notable success in defending NIHL claims by challenging causation in these cases. She has specialist knowledge of the 'Coles, Lutman Buffin' Guidelines used to assess causation in NIHL claims. Her thorough audiogram analysis and questioning of claimant's expert evidence has led to numerous discontinuances. Elisa is also an expert in forensic analysis of company histories and insurance tracing.
Since joining Eversheds-Sutherland Elisa has broadened her skills set, as well as continuing to deal with disease cases, she represents clients in defence of property damage claims, and complex public liability claims
