Practice notes

Landine is an senior associate in our CCPG group specialising in IP and marketing with a focus on litigation.

She advises on all aspects of intellectual property, including trademarks, designs, patents, copyright and trade names. Landine is also experienced in the field of advertising law and unfair competition (including the Dutch ‘slavish imitation’ doctrine).

Landine’s recent experience includes:

  • Representation of a publisher against Erfgoed Leiden and over 20 other archives digitizing copyright protected work without his consent;
  • Misleading comparative advertising litigation in relation to an OralB toothbrush advertising on billboards and tvc’s in the Netherlands;
  • Appeal proceedings for a private individual who owns the Benelux trademark WENDY’S and is being under attack since 1995 by the US company Wendy’s International, the third largest burger fast food chain in the US;
  • Patent litigation concerning infringement of a patent for a substance introduction method for plants.

Landine is a member of BMM, the Benelux trademark and design association, and VIEPA, the Dutch association for intellectual property litigators. She also regularly publishes articles and is a member of the editorial board of the Benelux Trademark and Design Bulletin.
