Francisco is an associate in our corporate group. Francisco is a Portuguese qualified lawyer and his principal practice area includes cross-border M&A and M&A in the energy and infrastructure sector.
He advises on the corporate aspects of cross border M&A transactions.
- Angolan oil company on the restructuring of its Angolan and international subsidiaries and businesses as well as in the renegotiation of financing arrangements, notably by advising it in its reorganisation process, which required presence in Angola to lead local teams;
- A leading global asset management and its Portuguese subsidiary (the second largest renewable energy producer in Portugal currently with over 1000MW of installed capacity) in connection with the acquisition of a wind farm portfolio with a joint installed capacity of c. 130MW
- A leading global asset management and its Portuguese subsidiary (the second largest renewable energy producer in Portugal currently with over 1000MW of installed capacity) and a joint venture company between such subsidiary and a leading French energy utility company and a pensions fund on the acquisition by said joint venture of the share capital of a company with a wind farm portfolio with c. 240MW of installed capacity in Portugal and on the negotiation of the joint venture corporate governance
- A leading global asset management in connection with the acquisition of the second biggest windfarm portfolio in Portugal and the long-term financing of the companies and wind farm portfolio acquired (a transaction of c. EUR 1 billion)
- A joint venture between a leading French energy utility company and a leading Japonese conglomerate on the acquisition of a wind farm portfolio in Portugal with 274.5MW of installed capacity and sale of its stake in one of the leading groups for production of renewable energy in Portugal
