Daniel von Brevern is a Partner in the Antitrust Law practice group at Eversheds Sutherland in Dusseldorf.

He advises clients on all areas of antitrust law, in particular on German, European and international merger control, on antitrust proceedings and within the framework of actions for damages under antitrust law. In addition, he focusses on investment control and European state aid law. Daniel has special experience in the automotive, energy, telecommunications as well as health & life sciences industries.

Daniel is the author of numerous articles on antitrust law, European state aid law and investment control.

He is a member of the German, Austrian and Swiss lawyers' association with a focus on antitrust law (Studienvereinigung Kartellrecht e.V.).

Daniel is recognized by Handelsblatt/Best Lawyers as a leading lawyer for Competition / Antitrust Law.

Daniel's recent experience includes:

  • advising various Bregal funds on all antitrust and fusion control law aspects of numerous transactions (e.g. acquisition of Perfect Drive Sports; acquisition of STP; sale of Deutsche Pflegegruppe; aquisition of Trendtours; aquisition of Murnauer Markenvertrieb; aquisition of ebeuro AG)*
  • representing Groupe PSA and Nidec within the framework of the foundation of a joint venture in the area of electric motors*
  • representing clients in follow-on actions for damages*
  • advising clients within the framework of antitrust proceedings (including expert support regardingt dawn raids, preparation of leniency applications)*
