Practice notes
Amy-Rose is an Associate in our Commercial Dispute Resolution team. She acts on behalf of a broad range of clients advising them in relation to termination obligations, contractual breaches, debt recovery matters and breach of restrictive covenant claims.
Her recent experience includes:
- Providing risk management advice to clients in respect of force majeure clauses and consequences on their contractual arrangements as a result of the coronavirus pandemic;
- Acting on behalf of a leading global information technology company who received notice of Default Judgment, successfully achieving a settlement at mediation, reducing the value of the Default Judgment by over 75%;
- Advising clients, including a not-for-profit membership organisation, a European food distributor, a property investment company, a pharmaceuticals manufacturer based in India and a multinational financial services company, in relation to notice provisions to terminate contractual agreements;
- Conducting litigation in proceedings issued in the High Court and complying with the Disclosure Pilot Scheme; and
- Assisting on the disclosure stage, analysing both our client and its counterparty’s disclosed documents, of one of The Lawyer’s Top 20 cases of 2021.
Amy-Rose was awarded third place in the Procurement Lawyer's Association's Rosie Choueka Memorial Essay Competition in February 2018, on the topic of Brexit.
Amy-Rose has been on the Birmingham Law Society's Pro Bono Committee since July 2017. Since May 2012 she has also been a committee member for the Birmingham branch of the national charity, Blood Cancer UK (a pro bono client of the firm).
