Practice notes

Philippa works primarily for institutional and property company investor clients. She has experience in a broad range of commercial property transactions and has worked with our corporate and insolvency practices on property aspects of share and asset sales and purchases.

She has spent time on secondment to our Paris office where she worked on many multi jurisdictional transactions, advised English speaking clients investing in the French real estate market and UK banks securing loans against French property. She worked closely with the corporate and banking teams there on a wide variety of matters.

She has worked on many lettings of office, retail and warehouse space for institutional landlords and has also acted for office and retail tenants.

She has some experience of residential transactions and recently exchanged contracts for five luxury apartments in a new development in London.
She also has experience of preparing and negotiating property asset management agreements and has worked with a number of inward investors.

Her recent experience includes:

  • the sale of a retail park in the Midlands for £41 million, 
  • the acquisition, development and letting of student accommodation in London, 
  • several restaurant, retail and office lettings in a new high profile development in Covent Garden.
