Tom is a seasoned lawyer and dealmaker, specialising in company law, corporate governance and financial reporting. His work includes advising on public bids, offerings and private placements of securities, venture capital and private equity transactions as well as M&A transactions, including coordination of due diligence team work. Tom is a specialist in financial reporting and a member of the Dutch Accounting Standards Board (Raad voor de Jaarverslaggeving).

He is also regularly active as lecturer in company law and financial reporting, including the ESAA post-educational program for supervisory directors of the Erasmus University in Rotterdam.

Tom is a member of the editorial board of various professional journals, is credited with more than 70 corporate publications and gives lectures and courses on financial reporting and corporate law.

Tom van Wijngaarden is een ervaren advocaat en 'dealmaker', gespecialiseerd in ondernemingsrecht, vennootschapsrecht, corporate governance en financiële verslaggeving. Zijn werkzaamheden richten zich onder meer op het adviseren bij openbare biedingen, onderhandse plaatsing van effecten, beursgangen, venture capital-/private-equitytransacties en fusie- en overnametransacties, inclusief het coördineren van due diligenceonderzoeken in teamverband.

Tom is een specialist in financiële verslaggeving en sinds 2007 lid van de Raad voor de Jaarverslaggeving.
Tom geeft voorts regelmatig college en cursussen op het gebied van ondernemingsrecht en financiële verslaggeving. Hij is onder meer als docent verbonden aan de ESAA postacademiale opleiding voor commissarissen en toezichthouders van de Erasmus Universiteit te Rotterdam.
